COHORTS: connect, collaborate, and THRIVE
COHORTS
THRIVE provides all members with a 24/7 accessible platform to connect and collaborate with peers. The goal of the cohorts is to provide new teachers a risk-free space to ask open-ended questions, give/receive advice, and network with other new teachers throughout the country. THRIVE will intentionally create cohorts of teachers who are in similar situations (grade level, content, rural/urban, etc.). Research indicates that new teachers found significant support and growth from other early career educators and THRIVE desires to see all educators grow as quickly as possible.
Connect
The COHORT model provides you with the ability to connect to new teachers risk-free at any time. There may be questions, concerns, ideas that you may have, but do not want to bring up within your school. Your COHORT will provide you with a safe space to ask questions, bounce ideas off each other, and look for advice.
Collaborate
Collaboration is KEY to increasing student achievement. The COHORT model provides new teachers with another avenue of sharing ideas. We all want to do the best for our students- and sometimes that means adapting resources, altering ideas, and learning from our peers.
THRIVE
The COHORT model provides a platform for safe and respectful communication. There will be no tolerance for communication that is discriminatory, inappropriate, or unlawful. The platform will be monitored by THRIVE.
